Bearing Witness to Ireland’s Mother and Baby Homes – Zoom meeting and Q&A session

An Irish and international group will gather in Ireland from May 26 – 31 2025 to remember and honour the women and children of the Mother and Baby Homes, in the Bearing Witness tradition of Zen Peacemakers.

Retreat co-leaders Roshi Frank De Waele and Niamh Barrett will host a one-hour Zoom information/discussion session on Wednesday, March 26 from 6 – 7pm (Central European Time) about this upcoming Bearing Witness retreat in Ireland.  You’re very welcome to come to this session to join the conversation and/or ask any questions about the retreat.

In Bearing Witness retreats, over five days we meditate at places of significance, listen and reflect deeply in ‘council circles’, hold commemorative services to honour those who have died, and learn from people with lived experience. Bearing Witness retreats create the conditions to turn towards a period of deep suffering with an open heart, in a way that is sustainable for each of us, supported by the retreat leaders and by our fellow participants.
